It`s 7 Million Degrees (celsius and fahrenheit). Time for a cocktail.
Start of by juicing a watermelon – you can do this with a juicer, potato masher or your hands. I use an immersion blender (seeds and all) and then strain the results. You get a massive amount of liquid.
Mix 4 cups of watermelon juice with 2 tablespoons of lime juice. This cuts the super sweetness and adds a bit of a mystery element to your drink.
Rim a glass with fresh mint mixed with a bit of sugar. The mint will add a little something to the still very sweet drink. Pour in a glass (I`d reccomend filling it with ice but we had none) and add vodka. If it`s too sweet, add a splash of water – or more vodka.
This cocktail is super easy and best when ICE cold.
Happy heat wave (and to those of you in cooler climes like Oregon – you can still enjoy it!
