When we make pizza, we once in a while open a jar of our dehydrated apple-infused apple sauce and pout it in a little extra dough and cook it beside our pizza like a mini-calzone. Most of the work is done months ahead or for the main course so the total time for desert is less than 3 minutes on the night of.
I love coming up with ideas like this – and thinking of our preserves as ingredients as opposed to simply a condiment.
